The circle welcomed me.
I approached reverently,
aware of the artist's effort
to bring this work to fruition.
The pale green of the benches,
the snails emerging from the ground,
contrasted with the surrounding
fall
colors, brighten by
early morning rain.
The tilt of the bench back
just
right, I relaxed
into the circle's embrace
When I arose and withdrew
some minutes
later,
the influence of the place remained.
I was grounded and at peace,
grateful that artists
create such space for our lives.
